Editorial methodology: CS2 platform reviews
This page explains how we build our editorial listing of CS2 case opening, trading and marketplace platforms, the language we intentionally avoid, how commercial links are handled, and how we keep the three relevant source dates separate. For category summaries, see the best CS2 case opening sites guide and the CS2 trading sites guide.
Editorial criteria
We use three inclusion criteria when adding a platform to our editorial listing:
- Category fit: The platform must have a clear placement in at least one of CS2 case opening, trading, or marketplace.
- Community reference presence: The platform must be a visible reference point in the CS2 community — a marketing launch alone is not enough.
- Transparent rules page: The platform must publish its basic terms of use on its own site.
These criteria define scope, not a ranking system. Each platform's editorial note summarises the interface and category. We do not use absolute language such as "the best", "#1", or "safest".
What we say — and what we don't
- We never invent or approximate a platform's win rate, RTP, or drop rates.
- For fees, commissions, and withdrawal timing we point readers to the platform's own documentation.
- We make no promises about bonuses, coupons, or "exclusive" benefits.
- We do not claim to have tested, deposited on, or measured any platform ourselves.
- We avoid user-count, volume, or "X players a day" numeric claims.
Commercial routing
Every commercial link routes through our own /go/{slug} path. Those routes are marked
noindex, nofollow and excluded from search crawling via robots.txt. The visible link is
always the local, "Open"-labelled anchor — target URLs are never printed to the user as text. Redirection happens
client-side via a meta refresh and JavaScript; with JavaScript disabled, the user still sees an "Open" fallback link
to reach the destination manually.
Source note
CS2 case-opening promo codes are compiled from a third-party source (cs2ref.com). We keep three distinct dates separate on purpose:
- Source-stated verification date: 2026-05-25 — the factual verification date the third-party source itself displays on its page.
- Editorial refresh date (this site): 2026-07-31 — when this site's editorial layer was last reviewed.
- Source last accessed: 2026-08-02 — when the source was last opened while compiling our record.
None of these dates constitute a fresh verification by this site today. Commercial routing links and limited non-commercial metadata (such as platform names and category placements) derive from the same internal source record. Promo terms can change quickly — always confirm current terms on the platform itself.
Updates and feedback
Editorial content and the platform listing may change over time. If a platform's category shifts or it stops operating, the corresponding page is updated or removed. Nothing on this site constitutes investment, gaming or financial advice. Not suitable for users under 18.
